sarkar

I watched Sarkar this weekend.
This movie, like its source Godfather, is a classic. Once after seeing Godfather one of my friend said "Yaar, is movie ko dekh kar to Maafia Don banane ka man karta hai. Kya jindagi hoti hai unki (yaar, after watching this movie, I feel like becoming a Maafia Don. Such a interesting life they live." I felt the same way after seeing Sarkar. Dont worry, I am not becoming a Don. But still...

What is so good about Sarkar?
Let me try the simples way and list out all the points in its plus side.
1. Amitabh Bachchan: He is simply superb in the character of Sarkar. No one could have done this role better.
2. Abhishek Bachchan: He is not a star, but he indeed is a quality actor. He has made us feel his presence in the movie.
3. KayKay: Though Kaykay Menon does not have a big role in the movie, but he has done justice to his performance.
4. Ram Gopal Verma: He is the GOD. All these actors could not have pulled it off without his magic. He can make anyone act.
5 Silence: Marlon Brando acquired special tone for his role. No doubt even amitabh could have done that. But RGV chose better way. He chose the silence to speak voulmes of feelings. Everyone speaks through language of silence. Eyes tell more about emotions than the mouth. This kind of performances are not usual in Bollywood, where every scene is explained to maximum possible extent.
6. Background Score: Another RGV trademark. Movie does not have songs. THis also adds to the pluses.

Overall, one wonderful experience.

@NIkhil: have you watched it or not?
