I like Coldplay but not for the meaningful lyrics of their songs cos I barely catch the words beneath the thick Brit accent. The same goes for U2 and the Irish accent.
But I love their songs which somewhat proves that music n melody need no language for communication. It's only later when I check the lyrics that I appreciate the songs ( trouble, with or without you, pride, scientist ) even more but by then I'm already a devotee.
Maybe I should try Illayaraja next :-)
