Movie Mania

9 short movies in 3 hours. All from different genre, language, country and culture. That is what constituted my Saturday today. Thanks to Sush, I finally got a chance to go to first Ahmedabad International Movie Festival. There are two nice things about this event:
1. It is happening in Wide Angle, one of the best multiplex theatre in Ahmedabad. The organizers have put quality effort in the first edition of the event.
2. Most of the shows are actually HOUSE FULL. Yes, they are running house full. Ahmedabad crowd rocks too. We never thought that we will have to worry about tickets but when we reached there we realized that we could not watch what seemed our first choice as they were all sold out. Good start for an event of this kind. It will really encourage the organizers and people associated.

Tonight there is a play in RJM Auditorium in IIMA as part of the same. Needless to say it is houseful too. We were lucky enough to get our passes. So looking forward for a fun filled evening as well.

The event ends tomorrow. There are plenty of movies tomorrow too. However getting tickets for them will be difficult seeing the current status of ticket sales. Give it a shot if you have some time and enthusiasm.

ps: Ahmedabd crowd rocks too. Never have I seen such beautiful faces around in Ahmedabad.

Campus Buzz

Three days from now I will come out of D11 R13 and will be served with onion salad. What a feast it will be!!! Hara Bhara Kebab freshly out of the gril. Ahmedabad heat is killing me. I wonder how people here survive the summer here.

Fachchas have arrived on the campus and campus is full with activities now. It's nice to see so much energy and enthusiasm. And ofcourse, the feeling of being a Tuchcha is a different experience altogether.

Classes are real fun these days. Branding, Government and Law, Social Entrepreunership, Pricing... and soon Retail Management and Media. Life seems more interesting than ever.

ps: Still trying to come back to reality. :D

Dreams Come True

Sometimes you live for your dream,
Sometimes your dreams come true.
Dream that define your destiny,
Or become your destiny.

They are not entirely yours,
But are also of the people around you.
People who mean a lot to you.
People to whom you mean a lot.

You don't want to wake up in morning
'Coz you don't want those dreams to go.
But then you get up with the hope
That they will come true today.

One such dream has been fulfilled for me
It's a reality now.
It defines a new phase of my life.
And a new me.

I call it Shreya
And she is my dream come true.

Welcome to my life, Shreya.
Welcome, my life.

Days are longer

Days are really long these days. I can very well feel it in my top floor room. The balcony lets the light pour in from as early as 5:30 am. Willingly or unwillingly I get up somewhere around 7am after trying all the sleeping postures to beat the light on my face. In evening, its the same till 7:30pm or so. I could never realize this is Mumbai. Here in WIMWI, there is time for everything. So somehow each passing minute makes a mark on your memories.

Days are really long these days. 'Coz I can not wait anymore to go home. My mind still belongs there. The coming few days will be difficult, I know that. But then I don't want it to get over soon also. It's like a dream. A really beautiful dream. And I want to live it as long as I can.

ps: Days are really long these days. 'Coz I wait the whole day for night to come. The heat is killing me. I have made it a survival test. I have to survive.

Back to Home

I am back to Campus. It is said to be home away from home for everyone residing in it. True enough. It's our home for at least the two years that we spent here during our MBA course. I have got a new address this time:

Dorm 11, Room 13, IIMA

Somehow, we have got this distinction of moving to rooms that have been previously resided by wimwi ki ladkiya. Bindis and hairbands welcomed us when we entered our new rooms in both these years. That's an achievement in itself.

And there is some more to it...

D3 Dungeon is now D11 Top Floor

What it means is that the gang is still intact. We could not have asked for more given the circumstances. The party continues. With more rigour this time. They say life at IIMA is very rigorous... :D

Little Moments of Joy

Somebody told me once "how can you be so chilled about life?" I wondered if what I was doing was indeed 'being chilled'. Is "to live for small moments of joy" cool these days? It could be. It could not too. Who cares!!!

in search of UTOPIA - was getting a tough task. Somewhere down the journey I realized that UTOPIA is a mirage. And even if it is not a mirage, it is not meant for me. So I lost the purpose. And hence I dropped the name of my blog.

Little Moments of Joy - I believe in them because they make my world a better place to live. People who matter to me. Things and Events that make me what I am. Somehow they always were part of this blog. It is a natural transformation. Things change. For good. Atleast we hope so.

ps: Tuchcha year at WIMWI has started. Hoping to update this space more often than what I have done in past.
